Reality is oftentimes invisible on social media networking sites. People tend to believe that they know someone based solely on their Instagram feed. Hence, I thought it would be interesting for me to sit down and type a few random facts that not many people actually know about me, so your opinion of me isn’t merely based on my feed.
25 things you more than likely don’t know about me:
1.) I believe that fall is absolutely the most spectacular time of the year.
2.) Ballerina Pink is my all time favorite color, like seriously… my whole room is drenched in that color.
3.) I’m a major introvert. I get SO nervous before social get-togethers, and it takes ALOT for me to truly come out of my bubble. In fact, few have yet to truly see me kick back and be 100% myself.
4.) I have a thing for books. I think that literature is such a powerful art, and it demands recognition in a world filled with everything virtual- related.
5.) My all-time favorite food is a grilled cheese. Add a juicy tomato, and some good ‘ole crab dip, and I’m as happy as can be.
6.) I’m probably the most socially awkward person that you will ever meet. Yeah, you think I’m all witty and adventurous from my social media mediums? Just wait ’til you meet me. I bring the awkward, and a whole bunch of it, guys.
7.) I don’t like coffee. Ouch, I could feel the hearts of many of you coffee addicts breaking. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll drink it if I need an extra jolt, but honestly, it makes me utterly sick and I despise its strong taste.
8.) I don’t like fried chicken. Not even sorry ‘bout it.
9.) I really like ice cream. I ain’t even saying that because it’s “cute.” I actually am becoming an addict. I crave it every day, and when I don’t my fix, I get very irritable. Ain’t nothing cute about that, honey. It’s a problem, and I need to take a break from its creamy goodness.
10.) The mountains are my favorite place to be. Tranquil, windy, and desolate: utter perfection in my book.
11.) I can’t ever make a decision without at least 8 months of preparation. I am not your gal when it comes to picking a place to eat on a whim. I also am not your gal when it comes to making practically any other decision in a short amount of time.
12.) I’m not a fan of spiders.
13.) I really like mozzarella sticks.
14.) I have a fear of heights.
15.) I’ve always dreamed of writing a book.
16.) I LOVE driving. Whether I “called shotgun” or the driver, I just love to get in the car and drive. With our busy schedules, this is one of the ways my family is able to reconnect.
17.) I don’t ‘sport.’ I try… very hard, actually, but I can’t. Sports have never (and will never) be my strong suit, unfortunately. You know that nerdy girl who brings a book to the school football game? Yeah, I’m definitely not her or anything. I mean she’s so weird, right? Pssh.
18.) I failed my driver’s test twice before I passed. Did I just drop that bomb? Oh, I think I did. Yep, I failed… twice. Third time’s the charm though, I guess.
19.) I play the ukulele. Haha, just kidding. I know three chords and one strumming pattern. I’ll let you in on a little secret… I just switch the chords up to make it sound like I actually know how to play more than one pattern… but I don’t. Sorry, guys… I’d hate to disappoint, but I’m not a music prodigy.
20.) My favorite number is twenty. So, I made this fact, #20, clever, right? No? Yeah, I didn’t think so either.
21.) I LOVE school. I have never been busier/ more stressed in my entire life, believe me. But I think that I secretly love it.
22.) Dark chocolate makes me sneeze. (I’m so weird. Honestly, who even am I anymore?)
23.) Sunflowers are my favorite flower. How cliche am I?
24.) Brace yourself… I blot the grease off of my pizza. ( Whew, it feels good to get that one off my chest.)
25.) The last one was really weird, so I’ll make this one semi-normal, alright? If you’re here right now, taking time out of your day to read this silly blog post by a nobody from Maryland, then you have truly made my day. I can’t begin to put into words how much it means to me that you actually care about what I have to say and spend time reading my work. I know you probably think that it’s required of me to provide you with a shallow “thank you” and send you off with a “how do you do “and then I’ll just go on about my day; but I genuinely mean every word that I said. Thank you.
